QNet ltd, formerly known as QI Limited, QuestNet and GoldQuest is a direct selling company based in Hong Kong and owned by the QI Group. The company markets a variety of products such as personal care, nutrition, home care, weight management, fashion accessories and luxury goods. QNet was founded in 1998 by Vijay Eswaran in Hong Kong.
The company’s marketing strategy is based on the multi-level marketing and direct selling model, in which independent representatives will refer their products to consumers which then receive compensation based on the volume of their sales and the sales of their team of independent representatives.
QNet ltd has offices in many parts of Asian such as Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and Vietnam with franchise companies in Turkey and India and also operates in many African nations such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Rwanda and Côte d’Ivoire.
QNet, which is the main subsidiary of the QI Group, was first known as GoldQuest, who made custom Commemorative coins. The company was first diversified in 2002, into vacations and travel, partnering with QVI Club brand holidays. The QI Group acquired QI Comm, a British telecommunications company in 2005.
In 2006, the QI Group began marketing health, nutrition and energy products, also watches by Bernhard H. Mayer. That same year, Prana Resorts and Spa, a vegetarian holiday resort in Koh Samui, became part of the QI Group. In 2007, the QI Group acquired an organic and vegetarian health store chain in Hawaii called Down To Earth.
QI Group saw its direct sales increase by 70% between 2007 and 2012. In 2013, Qnet shifted its manufacturing operations to India then opened an office in Russia.
