<p>That being the case, the “follow-up” process is where you want to spend the majority of your time. The more follow-ups you have, the more orders you take.</p>
<p>There are two types of follow-ups: Active and Passive.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve heard many people say Nu Skin products are overpriced to. But for ANY product, regardless of price, there&#8217;s someone who thinks it&#8217;s overpriced or too expensive.</p>
<p><span style="font-style: italic;">Overpriced</span> is in the eyes of the beholder. If value is added, people will pay. I know I do. For some things I pay MORE, even if the quality is the same, if other value accompanies it that I want.<br />

<p>By manipulating the pleasure and pain triggers in your prospect, you will be catching their attention, and encouraging them to act (either to rid themselves of the pain, or to retain feelings of pleasure.)</p>
<p>Here are some tips for injecting pain and pleasure into your marketing messages:</p>
<ul type="disc">
<li>Tell stories- people immediately connect with stories.      If your story relates to an experience your prospect has had, they will immediately      be reminded of the feelings they are fighting to avoid, or the feelings      they&#8217;d love to feel again.</li>
<li>Make your prospect imagine- the mind is a powerful tool. Asking your      prospect to visualize sets a stage for you to present painful /      pleasurable situations. Tap into past experiences, or create hypothetical      ones. When it comes to emotion, your prospect&#8217;s brain will not make a      distinction between fact and fiction.</li>
<li>Be confident in your product- when talking about your product or      service, don&#8217;t say what it might or could do for them. Explain what it      will do. (Remember, your prospect needs to get rid of their pain or      acquire pleasure as soon as possible. They need a guaranteed solution!)</li>
<li>Use the right words- make your message vibrant by using active      verbs (example: Jane runs instead of Jane is running.) Also, use words      associated with pleasure (babies, soft, relaxing etc.) or pain (dentist,      suffering, trauma).</li>
</ul>
<p>One last point: once you draw out the pain or pleasure, let your audience revel in it. Don&#8217;t be too quick to move past the emotion. It&#8217;s the emotion that moves people to action. If you can successfully incorporate emotional stimulation in your marketing messages, you will be transporting your prospect to a buying state!<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;"><br />

<p>Today I want to discuss one critical part of My Nu System: the lead capture page, also known as a capture page, squeeze page, splash page, etc.</p>
<p>A lead capture page is a one page website that acts as the entrance to your marketing funnel with the sole purpose of capturing your prospect’s contact information. I’ve chosen the funnel as the image for a reason.  It represents your lead capture page. So remember that.</p>
<p>To market effectively online, there is one thing we are aiming to do - build relationships with people and expand our current networks. To do this effectively, we need a way to share our message in a split second and entice our prospect to hand us their contact information so we can stay in touch with them to - guess what?</p>
<p><strong>Build stronger relationships over time.</strong></p>
<p>You see, on the internet, we have such a finite amount of time to capture our prospects’ attention.  You know the feeling of looking for information online.  If you don’t see it, you move to another page without a second thought.  Even the most compelling websites will lose the opportunity to build relationships with prospects if they don’t capture that person’s information,</p>
<p>Because your prospect, no matter how much they liked your website, may never remember how to get back to it!</p>
<p>So, to reiterate, a lead capture page is a one page website with a form to capture your prospect’s information.  The sole purpose of a lead capture page is to build that relationship and stay in touch with your leads.</p>
<p>Why the funnel?</p>
<p>Because not all the visitors who land on your site will be interested enough in your offer to enter their contact information and become a lead. No. It’s not a bad thing at all! In fact you want this.</p>
<p>The fact that ONLY people who are highly interested in what you have to offer enter their contact information to become a lead means that: You’ve weeded out people who aren’t interested in your message so you can focus on building relationships with the ones who are!</p>

These people are, of course, right. There is plenty of evidence that happiness is only loosely correlated with wealth. People seem to derive a much greater sense of satisfaction from good relationships, and having a sense of purpose and meaning in their life. Money matters too, but not as much once the basic need for food and shelter are addressed, and those aren’t big issues for most people deciding between joining a network marketing company or a traditional company.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;"><span>Furthermore, most people who do join network marketing companies will never experience a huge payday. Nu Skin Enterprises has distributed of 100’s of millions of dollars to thousands of distributors around the world, but that was truly exceptional. Even most moderately successful network marketing companies will only make a small group of people rich. And if all you care about is money, I doubt that joining a network marketing company is the right way to go. You’ll probably make a lot more at a hedge fund, or by becoming a lawyer, or something like that.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;"><span> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;"><span>Maybe it now seems like I’m defending the boring 9-5 job, but it’s actually just the opposite. Those 8 hours/day are a huge chunk of your waking life, and don’t forget that you’ll probably also spend a few hours preparing, commuting, and “unwinding”. Even worse, bad or boring jobs can sap our energy, so that at the end of the day all we feel like doing is sitting in front of the TV. That’s no way to live, if you can help it. Why surrender such a huge chunk of your life just to get some money? For some people, that’s the only option, but for those fortunate enough to be smart and educated, there’s a better way. Instead of throwing away your “working hours”, why not make every minute count? Why not find work that you can actually enjoy, work that’s fun and meaningful? Of course that’s easier said than done, but it’s not impossible.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;"><span>For reasons that will have to be left for another post, the structure and systems in traditional companies tend to make work meaningless and life unpleasant. Of course smaller companies can be awful too, but they have a greater potential to be good. If your job isn’t working for you, if it isn’t making you happy and energized, then why are you still there? I can’t guarantee that you’ll find something better with us, but perhaps you should at least try something new. Don’t just give up on life. I truly enjoy network marketing. I love selling new products. I like seeing users get great results and finding ways to solve their financial problems. I like this game. I like helping people.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Of course there is always some amount of unpleasant work that must be done, but that can be contained (my rule is that work should be no more than 10% awful). That’s why, even though I don’t financially need to work, I choose to work (and end up staying up until 4 am communicating with distributors around the world). Of course I’d also like to earn a few million more dollars. And I plan to make all of our distributors very successful, but that’s more like a bonus.</span></p>
