Randal Nardone’s Executive Duties

Randal Nardone is the co-founder of Fortress Investment Group LLC. He has been the principal of the company since 1998 when the company was established. From December 2011, he served as the interim Chief Executive Officer until July 2013 when he was appointed as the official CEO of the company. He was also appointed to be a member of the company’s board of directors in 2006. Under his tenure the company has been awarded several awards including the “Management Fund Manager of the Year” and the “Hedge Fund of the Year” by HFMWeek and Institutional Investor respectively. The success of Randal Nardone in the business domain saw him secure a desirable spot on the Forbes Billionaire List. He is currently ranked as the 557th billionaire with a net worth of 1.8 billion US dollars. Most of his wealth is linked to his investments in Fortress Investment Group. He has also earned approximately 100 million USD cash compensations from outside jobs.

Randal Nardone is an educated person. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Biology from the University of Connecticut. He also holds a Juris Doctor from the Boston University School of Law. Before co-founding Fortress Investment Group in 1998, Mr. Nardones served as the managing director of UBS from 1997 to 1998. He was also the principal of BlackRock Financial Management Incorporation before going to UBS. Mr. Nardone was a partner and an executive at Thacher Proffitt & Wood law firm prior to joining BlackRock.

Apart from being an executive at Fortress Investment Group, Randal Nardone also serves other boards. He is on the Board of Directors at Seacastle Incorporation, Eurocastle Investment Limited, Fortress Investment Group LLC, Florida East Coast Holdings Corp, and Springleaf REIT Incorporation.
